Will Temtem feature an offline mode?
We don’t have an offline mode currently planned. Temtem is built to be 100% online and making it offline is not a trivial task.

Is the Steam key only for Windows? What about Mac and Linux?
Unfortunately, we don’t plan to support Mac and Linux. It’s a lot of work to support the three platforms and our previous games’ sales on those platforms have not been strong enough.

Will console backers be able to participate in the Alpha?
The Alpha is only going to be available on Steam (PC). Console backers will also get access to play the Alpha on PC so they can get an early taste of the game.

Are we biting off more than we can chew?
When you think about an MMO or MMORPG you probably think of enormous games like World of Warcraft or TERA, in which you have an endless array of possibilities (raids, guild wars, infinite quests, enormous dungeons, a never-ending realm…) but our vision for Temtem is a lot smaller than that.
The core idea behind Temtem is to build a classic adventure game with a focus on the story campaign, but with online elements added around it (seeing other people online, interacting with them to battle, trade, or just to talk and share experiences).

Do the additional copies also have the in-game rewards / Alpha?
Alpha will be included in all copies. So if you buy two copies, you’ll also get two Alpha access. However in-game rewards (titles, character name reservation, backer trophy, etc) and other rewards (physical rewards, Discord tiers, etc) are unique by backer, so buying new copies of the game won’t give you those rewards in all of them, only in one of them.

Is the game pay-to-win, or does it have any elements from pay-to-win games?
No. The game won’t include any pay-to-win at all (we’re never going to sell Temtem, items that will help you in battles, or experience boosts).

Will Early Bird ($16) or Temtem Tamer ($20) backers be able to choose a Console key?
No. Only Alpha Hero ($30) tiers and above will grant you a Console key. Early Bird and Temtem Tamer are PC-only.

I bought two or three copies of Temtem. Will I be able to choose one for PC and the other one for a Console?
Yes. You will be able to select the platform for each key and any combination is allowed.

When will I be able to choose between Console or PC?
Probably after the Alpha. We want everyone to have access to the Alpha on PC, and then you can decide if you want to hop into the Early Access on PC or wait a few months for the final release on Consoles.

Will Temtem feature cross-play (seeing people from other platforms in your game, fighting and trading with them…)?
That’s our plan! We still need to look into it and talk with the owners of the major consoles, but we will bring cross-play where we can.

Will Temtem feature cross-save (keeping the same player on all platforms, continuing your progress…)?
We’re studying the option and while we can’t promise it right now, we have some ideas for how to implement it and make it viable.

Is there going to be a physical release? Or only digital?
Currently we don’t have plans for a physical release of the game. The Kickstarter reward only entitles you to a digital copy of the game.

Isn’t Nintendo going to block this game?
There is not a single indication that that’s going to happen. We’re already registered Nintendo developers, we have a game released on Switch (Immortal Redneck), and our relationship with them is good. We’re not using any patents or copyrights from any other company, everything in Temtem is made from scratch.
Also, there are a lot of games heavily inspired by Nintendo titles on Switch and DS – Brawlout (Super Smash Bros), Jump Ultimate Stars (Super Smash Bros), Wargroove (Advance Wars), Oceanhorn (Zelda), Blossom Tales (Zelda), Crystal Monsters (Pokémon)…
TPCI is known for their takedowns but they’ve only taken down games using their IP and designs and, like we said, we’re not using any of those. There are many creature-collection games (both fanmade and commercial) out there.

Is every tier inclusive?
Yes! Purchasing a higher tier will also grant you all the bonuses from previous tiers, even limited ones (except the Early Bird tier).

Will the game support other languages?
Our initial language support is going to be for English, Spanish, and French. We want to add many more languages and will be looking at ways to do so.

What is a Luma Temtem?
A Luma Temtem is a specific Temtem with different coloration to what is usual for its species. They also feature a unique set of special effects surrounding them, including sparkles or a bright trail when running. Luma Temtem are very rare to see in the wild so they are a very appreciated between Tamers.

What are in-game titles? How do they work? If I purchase a high tier, will I have all the previous in-game titles too?
In-game titles appear next to your name and are visible to all players. If you purchase a tier with a title and it includes other previous tiers with titles, you will receive all of them. You can only “wear” one title at a time, but in the game you will be able to pick your title and change it anytime you want.

How many different Temtem are in the game?
We don’t have a fixed number yet, we’re aiming at 141+

Does Temtem require a monthly subscription?
No

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
